This was drawn a year ago. The origin of this piece came about when Tarby posted images of MLP characters done up in Carrousel gear with a pole stabbed through their backs and shackles and chains holding their hooves to the floor. He mentioned that the images made him want to write a song about a Carrousel in the Everfree forest that took ponies. Eventually that idea became his Album EVERFREE which may or may not have a song about the Carrousel in it. But when he talked about it it made me image this image and so I drew it. I wanted it to be the cover art for his album but after he wrote the songs for it the design didn't really fit the theme of the album though it might show up for the song that is titled in the image. So here it is at last. Make sure to go buy Tarby's album EVERFREE at tarbyrocks.bandcamp.com/
This is quite disturbing but I love it; it matches the eerie feeling the song gives
If I had the skill to write a dark fic, I'd be begging you for permission to write one. Besides the awesome play on light and shadow, this picture leaves one miles of room to run in terms of writing.
I drew this based on a song that Tarby wrote but has yet to release. I wanted it to be an album cover but he felt it didn't fit the overall album theme as much as that single song. So he told me he would use it on youtube when he releases that song there. I also have a little story idea that uses the song and picture as a base.
